Kit comes with new choke rod for the 66 tripower.

The 59 to 65 tripower with the 1/4" insulator should not need new choke tubs. Slightly bending the old tubes should not casue any problems. I will have new choke tubes, soon for those using the 1/2" insulators. It is also possible to use the 1/4" insulators, you could choose to use the 1/2" one under the center carb for added heat protection.

I will have the new items up on the page bu July 15th. Introductior price and price at the show... will be $88.00 for the 59 to 65 set, and 95. for the 66 set as it included new choke rod.

I am adding one more item to the cart. I am going to be stocking the K & N filters for the tripower. I will be able to match Summtt prices as I bought in a large quantity. They will be 89. a set. They have shipped, as of July 4, but not here yet. Coming soon. Nice performance upgrade. I ran them on my own 65 GTO for years.

      Tim Wasson

      New Item

Filed under:

The phenolic carb insulators should be available by July 1. I will have kits with special, longer, custom made studs, and gaskets. These insulators have the same shape as the throttlebodies, so they are difficult to detect. They will be available in 1/4" and 1/2" Packages will include necessary gaskets and longer choke tubes/or choke rod for the 66.

I plan to have them at the Dayton Convention.

I am also adding K & N filters as a new shopping cart item. I have had many requests for them in the past, as they are an excellent product.

      Tim Wasson

      Poci Co Convention

Filed under:
Starting Wednesday, July 8th, several major Pontiac Clubs are combioning their Annual Conventions.
I have been getting calls and e-mails indicating that carbs are leaking fuel after the car is warm (Hot) and shut off. I believe this new fuel is a likely suspect. Remedies include an electric radiator fan that is controlled by a thermostat and runs after the engine is shut off.

Or, the use of a Phenolic spacer under the carbs is helpful in keeping the carbs cooler. I am working on having these manfactured. This will require longer studs and some small modification of the choke rod on the 66 tripower. Spacers only need to be 1/4" to 5/16" thick.
