1966 Pontiac tripower

thermostat housing bolt-This bolt has a special stud attached to hold one of the alternator straps on cars with power steering. It is installed on the driver's side and takes the place of one of the bolts that attaches the waterneck. It is not the common reproduction, but a genuine GM part.

1966 waterneck - reproduction item with GM casting number #9779073. The 66 neck points toward driver side.

1964-66 block off plate, gasket, and bolts - mounted on the front of the intake with two 7/16" bolts. If restoring yours, I recommend replacing this part. Many have ancient gaskets and some are nearly rusted through.

1966 Choke stove bolt and washer - special correct Phillips head stainless steel bolt and washer to attach choke stove below.

1966 Choke Pull-off - This part mounts to the center carb on the passenger side with 2 screws. Includes the correct plated bracket and a new vacuum diaphram.

1966 fuel filter bracket - mounts on front carb. Gold plated.

1966 center carb fuel inlet reducer - screws into fuel inlet and reduces size to 1/8" pipe thread to accommodate correct 105° fitting. This is a special reproduction item. Includes gasket.

1966 stove with rod and clip- Nice reproduction item. No number on box.

1966 fuel lines and fitting - correct Weatherhead fuel block and correct pair of 105° brass fittings.

1966 lines only - set of 3 pre-fit aluminum fuel lines. Free polish if requested.

Aluminum Polish - I have been polishing the aluminum fuel lines and power brakes lines since I discovered these products about a year ago. Eagle One produces both. First step is a chemical on a cotton-like material, referred to as "wodding polish". It comes in a tin. Second step is a "jeweler's rouge". Your lines will look like stainless in minutes.

1964-66 Fuel block (only) - Weatherhead fitting reproduction item.

105 degree fitting - The 66 tripower uses one on center and one on rear carb. Priced each.

Power Brake fittings and prebent aluminum line (to booster) - Comes off the rear of the front carb. Free polish if requested- NEW!

New throttleblades (butterflies) - for the end carbs. These are precision made with tolerances of .0005". Replace those damaged blades. Come in pairs with correct brass replacement screws. NEW!

1966 linkage, driver's side - all parts that mount to the center carb, slide bar to rear carb, rear carb lever that attaches to the throttle shaft, and a new pair of return springs for passenger side.

long rod and clips - passenger side rod that attaches front to rear carbs with clips. Mine are plated silver.

1964-66 rear carb pump rod - From new lever (above) to accel pump. If your carb is being converted from vacuum, you need this part.

1966 Center carb fuel inlet reducer - This screws into the large forward facing fuel inlet and reduces 1/8" pipe threads so it can accept 105° fitting. Special reproduction part. Comes with new gasket.

66 PCV fitting - The 66 PCV fitting is different from the 64-65. It takes 3/8" hose. Joins vacuum from 2 posts between front and rear carbs and runs it down to the PCV valve on valley pan.

1964-66 grommet - Mounts in valleypan, GM part. If yours is old and hard, this may save you a vacuum leak.

1966 carb kit - Quality kits for set of 3 carbs. Includes all internal gaskets, 2 checkballs, internal sping, carb to intake gaskets, needle, and seats.

1964-66 upgrade needle/seats, "checkball system" - I recommend this part. See FAQ #6. You need 3, but these are priced seperately.

1964-66 brass floats - Per original. Mine are all the same size. I use them myself in all the carbs I restore. If yours are brass, they are likely to be 35 years old. If composition, they have been replaced. I recommend new floats as you want to do all you can to avoid pumping raw fuel on your intake and into your engine. Again, these are priced seperately, but you need 3.

1966 Delux rebuild set - As above, 3 kits, 3 new brass floats, upgraded checkball system to replace needle/seat.

Set of 12 correct carb studs - These are the studs that screw into the manifold and attach to the carbs. NEW!

1964-66 yellow return spring - From center carb to throttle cable bracket.

1966 throttle cable bracket - mounts on intake with 2 bolts.

1966 air cleaners - Complete set - 3 show chrome lids, 3 black bases, 3 paper elements (GM part), 3 correct bottleneck style studs and 3 chrome wing nuts.

1964-66 Stainless steel vent strip - This strip mounts on top of the air horn and is activated by the accelerator pump lever which pushes up on the strip and vents the float bowl. Attached with 1 small screw. Rubber plug included.

1964-66 Idle compensator valve - Also fits other years. This bi-metal strip in on all correct 66 center carbs. Valve is attached with 2 screws, not included, inside the venturi. The replacement carb sold by many suppliers does not have this strip.

Throttle blade brass screws - these are the small brass screws that attach the throttleblades to the shaft. Eash throttleblade has a pair, for total of 12. The choke flap also uses 2 more for a total of 14. These are very difficult to locate. set of 14.
